Last night, from around 11:50 pm to 00:15 am, Azeri units tried to infiltrate Armenian positions in northeastern (Jraberd) and southeastern (Korgan) sections of the contact line of Artsakh & Azeri troops, the press service of the NKR Defense Army said.
“The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army fought back the incursion in both directions and threw back the enemy, causing considerable material and human losses. Junior sergeant Armen Hovhannisyan was killed by Azeri fire while performing his military duty at the northeastern military position. An investigation is being carried out. The NKR Defense Army shares the grief of the loss and extends sympathy to Armen Hovhannisyan’s family, relatives and fellow servicemen,” the Defense Army said in a statement.
